In a thrilling best of 3 finals, the Western AAA Bantam Kings swept the St. John's Hitmen by scores of 4-1 and 5-4. The championship game went to a 6 round shootout with League Scoring champ Mark Hillier netting the game winner.
Congratulations to the Hitmen and the Kings on a great season and play resumes the weekend of March 10-12 when CBR Minor Hockey Association hosts the AAA Provincial Playdowns. The winner of the playdowns represents HNL at the Atlantics on Prince Edward Island April 6-9, 2017.
